Jay Vilar’s journey to leading Fresh Truck began at his childhood kitchen table, where he learned from his mother and grandmother that food is much more than sustenance; it is medicine, heritage, and a fundamental right. He brings a beautiful "dual fluency" to his role as Executive Director, blending the heart of a community advocate with a strategic mindset as a former corporate VP. Whether he is drawing on his expertise as a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, his studies in regenerative soil health, or his proven track record of scaling Boston nonprofits like Haley House and The Fountain Fund, Jay’s work is always rooted in a community-centered mindset. He is deeply honored to guide Fresh Truck’s next chapter, dedicated to dismantling food insecurity by building the sustainable, community-informed systems every neighborhood deserves. Outside of his role you can spot Jay riding his eBike around Boston, hosting themed dinner parties, and enjoying live music.

Senior Director of Operations & People

Francelino leads the day-to-day execution of Fresh Truck’s mission, overseeing operations, market schedules, and staffing while driving system improvements and operational excellence. With a strong focus on collaboration and mentorship, he empowers his team and fosters professional growth. Francelino’s expertise in vendor relationships, inventory management, and fleet operations supports seamless operations. Passionate about health equity and local sourcing, he ensures Fresh Truck delivers value to customers while supporting its community-focused mission.

Senior Director of Strategy and Advancement

Annie has dedicated the past decade to connecting people with causes they care about. She has raised money and built support for food justice, public health, environmental, and human rights-focused non-profits, as well as state and federal election campaigns. Her love for shopping for, cooking, and eating food led her to Fresh Truck. She believes in the power of food to bring people together and the crucial role food access plays in building resilient communities. She is proud to do that in her home city where she lives in East Boston with her partner and dog. When she's not advocating for food access, you can find her riding her bike, hanging at the dog beach, or playing pickleball.

E-Commerce Program Manager + IT

Victor thinks the first step to living a healthy lifestyle is having access to fresh produce. He is also a strong believer in pairing a healthy diet with an active lifestyle. Victor operates and manages the Fresh Truck E-Commerce platform and works towards improving the reach and experience of using the service. Every day he makes sure online orders are packed and delivered to their respective pickup sites. Outside of work you can find him fishing, hiking or cooking elaborate recipes.

Associate Director of Community Engagement

Gustey passionately agrees with Fresh Truck’s vision and mission to provide households the opportunity to access and consume healthier foods. As Program Director, she manages community outreach, program volunteers, and leads shopper communications. She also serves as a key liaison between our wide network of community partners and the Fresh Truck team. In her downtime, you can find Gustey working on her new DIY project or hosting a fun and exciting event.

Manager of Individual Engagement

Kyle believes in the power of food to empower individuals, galvanize communities, and bring about a more equitable public health system. As Manager of Individual Engagement, he has the privilege of stewarding a vibrant community of supporters and passionate volunteers working to bring fresh, healthy food to the Boston neighborhoods that need it most. If the sun is out, you can find Kyle strolling through the South End. On just about every other day - and often those sunny ones too - he’s almost always in the kitchen.

Program Manager

Marina is passionate about working with people to increase their access to the fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables they want to eat. In her role as Program Manager, she ensures the Fresh Truck team has everything they need to successfully stock and run markets in the communities we work with. When she's not at work, you can find Marina in a coffee shop with a good book, on a walk by the water with her dog, or playing in the dirt growing her favorite vegetables - leeks, beets, and hakurei turnips.

Market Manager

Courtney enjoys taking an active role in helping people take care of themselves and their families through food. As a Market Manager Lead, she facilitates customers’ shopping experience, ensures every customer gets top value from their choices and assists with day to day operation management/development. When not on a Fresh Truck she’s painting, building things for her cat, or cooking.

Anastasia believes that good food not only nourishes the body but also builds community. They are excited to connect Boston residents with fresh fruits and veggies as one of the Fresh Truck Market Managers. When Anastasia isn’t bussing around fresh produce, they spend their free time making arts and crafts.

Having been involved in the field of food justice for nearly eight years, Julian believes that affordable healthy food access gives communities a chance to engage autonomously and intentionally with their food system. Usually driving one of the big green buses, Julian works to empower shoppers with food choices, and make people laugh as a Fresh Truck Market Manager. In his free time he enjoys writing stories, drawing, cooking, and spending time with his good friends. If you see him working, come say "Hello!"!

Market Manager

Anyileisi enjoys helping others, and what better way than to help and encourage people to eat healthy and take care of their health and that of their loved ones. When she is not at work, she enjoys making desserts at home, being with her family, playing with her dog and listening to music.

Gilmar believes that access to heathy food can bring a better world. As an Operations Assistant, Gilmar prepares the trucks for the market and supports customers. In his free time, Gilmar likes to go to the beach and travel to tropical places. He also likes to watch movies with his family.

Gabriela believes that eating good, quality food helps strengthen the body and encourages health. Gabriela works as an Operations Assistant at Fresh Truck. She likes to interact with customers by passing along her knowledge, helping them find what they want, and listening to their comments. Gabriela uses her free time to paint, listen to music, hang out with her friends, and cook the typical food of her country.

Market Manager

Casey believes that fresh food brings people together. After spending nearly five years working on a family-owned farm in the MetroWest, she discovered a passion for produce and learning the story behind the food we eat. As a Boston local she’s excited to bring her experience back to her community and share that passion with customers as a Market Manager. Outside of work, Casey enjoys spending time with her daughter, being outdoors, and hanging out with close friends.

Armani is from the Boston area and supports our mobile markets everyday. In his free time he enjoys reading and writing particularly about the highlights in his life and reflecting.

As an operations assistant, Joy believes in finding creative ways to promote preventive health in local communities, especially through nutrition. When she's not working, she likes to spend her time crafting or going to live shows.
